Built to be usable, not just checked
BrowseSale is a small, actively-developed project. This page states plainly what’s already true today and what still needs work — not a compliance claim we can’t back up.
What’s in place today
Semantic HTML landmarks and headings throughout, keyboard-operable navigation and forms, visible focus states, a skip-to-content link on every page, alt text on meaningful images and aria-hiddenon decorative ones, and a light/dark theme that follows your system preference or a manual toggle. Motion — the homepage’s discovery animation, status flips, entrance effects — is removed entirely when your OS requests reduced motion.
What we haven’t verified yet
We haven’t run a full audit against WCAG 2.1 AA, and haven’t tested with a screen reader beyond spot-checks during development. Color contrast has been checked by eye against our token system in both themes, not measured automatically across every combination. Treat this page as “here’s our honest state,” not a certification.
Found an accessibility problem?
Tell us what page, what assistive technology or input method, and what happened. We read every message and it goes straight into the work — this is exactly the kind of report that’s easy to act on precisely because it’s specific.
